Overall ReviewPDC Poker "formerly Poker.com" was established in 2005 in Brisbane Australia. Since the re-launch as PDC they've seen a significant traffic increase as well as an even bigger increase once they moved to the Merge Network on April 15th 2010 along with Sportsbook.com. Their current traffic stats are showing 1,700 ring game and 6,000 tournament players at peak hours in May 2012.
PDC Poker was pretty limited in poker variations other than Holdem, Omaha, etc... but since there move to the Merge Network they now offer all the popular poker variations out there. Some of the variations that PDC offers are Texas Holdem, Omaha and Seven Card Stud as well as Razz, Five Card Draw, Five Card Stud, 2-7 Triple Draw, Badugi, H.O.R.S.E and other mixed games. Ring game play is very soft but the tournament play is not so much and is aimed mostly at low stakes players with buy ins as little as $1.00, high stakes play is almost non existant at PDC, even at peak hours.
PDC Poker's promotions include a frequent player program where you earn VIP points for playing raked hands at ring games or buy in fees for tournaments and you can use these points to buy into restricted freerolls when you reach different VIP statuses depending on how often you play. They also offer $50 freerolls open to everyone at least every four hours, weekly freerolls worth $2,000-$10,000 and a monthly freeroll for $50,000. They also offer a royal flush bonus worth 100 times the big blind up to $1000 just for hitting a royal flush.
As stated above, PDC Poker uses the Merge Network software which offers some very innovative features and is very functional. One special feature that PDC has recently added is called the "Rabbit Cam" which lets you show one or more of your cards to your opponents whether you win or lose to give that pschlogical edge previously only offered in live poker.
Overall PDC offers a great player experience and the only thing I could find that they are lacking is the very low traffic in the high stakes department but with the growing popularity of the Merge Network the high stakes tables should be filling up in no time.
