On June 1st 2012 Lock Poker officially left the Merge Gaming Network and purchased the Cake Poker Network. When they bought the Cake Network they also renamed it The Revolution Gaming Network in an effort to rebrand themselves while getting new software along with a sizeable player base.

It doesn't come as much of a surprise that Lock Poker decided to leave the Merge Network since its rumored that nearly 40% of the Merge Networks traffic comes from Lock Poker alone. With numbers like that it seems only natural that Lock would start their own network and by purchasing the Cake Network along with its player base they've only gotten bigger and should now be one of the top competitors as far as online poker sites/networks that accept U.S. traffic.

At the time that Lock Poker purchased the Cake Poker Network their were also roughly 50-60 other skins operating under the network. It has not been confirmed whether or not all of these skins will remain in operation under the new Revolution Gaming Network but at the time of writing all of the top skins like Cake Poker and Intertops Poker are still operating as normal.

So far the move of Lock Poker has been nearly seamless. All that current players at Lock Poker need to do is login to the Lock Poker software and it automatically updates itself to the new Revolution Gaming software and all of their funds and other information has been moved along with it with no problems being reported at all.
